We are very excited to be conducting MOUNTAIN SKILLZ workshops at the top of Wolf Creek pass under Wolf Creek Snowmobile Tours special use permit by the San Juan National Forest. Wolf Creek is located in southern Colorado between Pagosa Springs and South Fork. Famous for ‘the most snow in Colorado’ the Continental Divide runs across the top of the pass. At an elevation of 11,760 feet, you will encounter the famous “Rocky Mountain High!” As there is less oxygen available at high altitude, we strongly recommend all students be in good physical shape prior to arriving for a Mountain Skillz workshop. Your bodies will be challenged. Along with deep dry fluffy snow, you will experience a wide variety of terrain features. Don’t expect a lot of open meadows or trail riding. Wolf Creek specializes in North facing hillsides filled with trees. The tree riding varies from mellow and spread out (perfect for learning how to negotiate lines and directional changes) to steep and tight (a challenge for even the best and most extreme experienced riders).
