We are very excited to be conducting MOUNTAIN SKILLZ workshops at various locations throughout the Divide District of the Rio Grande National Forest. These areas are close to Wolf Creek Pass out of South Fork, Colorado. Famous for ‘the most snow in Colorado’ the area averages 430 inches of snowfall annually! While you will find incredible snow throughout our riding areas, you will not find the crowds of most other mountain riding locations. We have access from 6 separate trailheads and you will experience elevations from 8,500 feet to over 12,000 feet. As there is less oxygen available at high altitude, we strongly recommend all guests be in good physical condition prior to arriving for a Mountain Skillz workshop. Your body will be challenged. Along with an abundance of snow, these areas offer varieties of every type of terrain you can imagine. This allows us to select the best terrain and conditions for your personal interests and riding goals. An optimum learning environment provides the best opportunities to apply proper technique in specific situations and build confidence. While these riding areas offer excellent variety, the 2 most well known features are excellent snow quality and phenomenal tree riding. Everyone wants to be a tree rider and we’ve got it all from mellow and spread out (perfect for learning how to negotiate lines and directional changes) to steep and tight (a challenge for even the best and most experienced extreme riders).

South Fork is a full service mountain town located in southern Colorado. The nearest airport is 2 hours away in Durango. Denver International Airport is about 4 1/2 hours away.
